OWNER/DIRECTOR, BLOOM PEDIATRICS
Adriane Ransom is a pediatric occupational therapist and owner of Bloom Pediatrics in West Los Angeles. Adriane received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh and her graduate degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Southern California. Over the past 19 years, Adriane has worked with children who are gifted or twice exceptional. As a SENG-Model Parent Group Master Facilitator, Adriane offers support to parents raising gifted children. Her efforts in this area were recognized as she was presented with the 2018 SMPG Facilitator of the Year award. She is also the mother of four children, ages 14, 12, 10, and 4 years old, three of whom have been identified as highly to profoundly gifted.
Kasi Peters and Adriane Ransom met in early 2013 while training to become SENG-Model Parent Group Facilitators. They were passionate about giftedness and wanted a way to offer support to a community that so severely lacks understanding. Since then, Kasi and Adriane have facilitated discussion groups for parents of gifted children and have presented to schools and parent groups about the social and emotional implications of giftedness. Together, they helped to found the Westside of Los Angeles Gifted Group, an in-person and online community of friendship and support for families with gifted children.
